My Walmart trip with the new coupon policy

I don't think I could have squeezed too much more in there! Thankfully the stroller makes a kind of shelf.  And to think we have a Suburban.

Well, my hubby and I braved Walmart with the 4 kids.  I don't know if Walmart will ever be the same! We had intended on taking the kids to the park today, but the weather had other ideas. Walmart's the same as a park, right?

So, pictured above is my haul. All $339.21 of it (after coupons).  This was not a typical trip.  I needed everything.  My poor freezer was barren and the fridge was getting close.

In the end, I don't think I did horribly, but I feel like I still do better at Albertsons and Target. As for the new coupon policy the biggest improvement I can see is the internet coupons and the catalinas.  The competitor coupons are more difficult because the coupon has to be for a specific item at a specific price. (ex. Hasbro Games for $5.99 each - not $3.00 off Hasbro Games)

I'll admit, I probably could have done better if it was just me and I wasn't worried about getting through the store before the kids completely lost it.

I don't think I will be hitting up Walmart again anytime soon without a set gameplan.

You know what I think would make their new coupon policy better?  Drop the competitor coupons all together and do double and triple coupons!  What do you think?

                  2. Thanks!

I have to go to Albertsons today to grab a couple of things that I wasn't able to get before the meltdowns began. i think I'm going to print a copy of my haul and compare prices while I'm there.
